Forget the crock pot era, there is no longer a need to slow cook your food all day in order to have dinner waiting for you when you get home.

The Polara Range will refrigerate your food up to 24 hours until it is ready to be cooked. After you prepare you meal or dish you place it in the oven and with the controls you program when you want the oven to turn on, at what temperature, and for what duration.

If you are running late and don't make it home in time for when the food is ready, the Polara will automatically switch into warming mode for up to 2 hours. If you take longer than the 2 hours, the oven will switch back to refrigeration mode to keep the food from going bad.

Whirlpool promises that future models will have additional features such as remote communication with the oven. Instead of pre-programming when the cooking time will start you can start at anytime by phoning or e-mailing the oven.

The suggested retail price for this refrigerated range is $1399.00 - $1499.00.

The TMIO Intelligent oven is able to refrigerate your food prior to cooking too but the difference with this oven is the communication you can have with the appliance. Whether you choose to e-mail or telephone your oven, you can remotely turn it on to begin the cooking process. The telephone option is done through a serious of voice commands or you can use the touch-tone option via the TMIO Voice Control Centre (your oven functions are protected by a user-password).

The safety features that the oven comes equipped with include a safety shut-off if the oven reaches a certain temperature. And the manufacturer guarantees that the product is safe 100% of the time, "if one or more components in the oven fail they do so in a safe manner."
